Meimei, this picture was taken on my 31st birthday last 2008. You’re 4 months in my tummy so this is my first birthday with you if I may say, hihi. And of course, I’m wearing my favorite color

And look at you EJ… you and papa gave me what we call the samwits kiss… Oh how I love this happy family kiss that we always share, usually at bedtime but done anytime we feel like it We each take turn to be in the middle and it’s so much fun doing it that you sometimes would like to have 2 turns

And since we were in China at that time, we just had a simple celebration with our “family” away from home – Auntie Imee, Auntie Cathy and Uncle Jon. Auntie Cindy wasn’t able to come so we missed her that night. These friends have been with us through our toughest times and because of them, life in a foreign land became more beautiful. I miss them very much.
