15 More Days

Dear Meimei,

Today is April 1st and it’s only 15 days away from your 2nd birthday! Am I excited? Kinda! Not because we will have fancy celebration but because you’re gonna be officially stepping into the trainable, teachable, terrific, talented, talkative and totally trendy two year old! Everyday you amaze me with new things and who knows what you’ll be capable on the day you turn 2 years old. You’re learning really fast and now more than ever is the best time to train you in the way you should go as written in Proverbs 22:6.

Initially, your papa and I planned that we will have our Shanghai trip on your birthday since it’s on a Saturday. But since your ama and angkong are coming over on the 22nd, we will just have a simple gathering on your birthday and hopefully the pictorial and will postpone the Shanghai trip to the ZOO when ama and angkong are here. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it as you really love watching animals in your videos, so it’s time you’ll see most of them for real! And if we will be allowed to touch them, it’ll be more exciting!

Aside from 15 days away from your birthday, today is also very significant as I will launch this blog into the open 🙂 This is my first entry for this new blog. My previous letters for you and ahia came from my other blog SheWritesYouWrite. It took me 2 whole days and nights transferring them and formatting this blog! But now it’s finally good to go! It is my prayer that not only I and your papa will write letters for you and your ahia, but also family and friends can share and express their love for you both.

It’s now 11:11pm and we’re all still up! You and papa are watching GLEE on the big tv, your ahia just finished writing his letter for me 🙂 and here I am, writing this letter for you.

This was taken this morning after breakfast. This is one of your favorite activities, painting. But this is the first time for you to hold a real brush 😀
